None of us have ever driven through central Wyoming, and it was a surprise. After climbing
and descending several mountain ranges, and enduring a couple stops for road construction,
we reach the "great divide basin" ... a remote and
sparsely populated area with beautiful rock formations, some cattle, and little else. I have
been a lot of places in the USA, and I have to say that the drive on US-287 from Lander to Rawlins
is one of the most deserted and lonely drives I have ever made.
We arrive at the Rawlins KOA about 9:45 pm and I'm on laundry duty again. Tomorrow morning we'll
head east on I-80 into Nebraska.

Maybe a practical example of
Matthew 7:24-27 ?
Yesterday we made the big decision to skip Mount Rushmore in favor of returning directly home,
most likely a day early. The kids have started getting homesick, especially little Matt. So
we completely changed our route home. We cancelled our reservation for Rapid City SD
and made a new reservation for Rawlins WY.
