Mike & Andra's 2006 RV Trip!

Day 3
July 16 - Benton IL to WaKeeney KS

Today was a long, hot day. It took us 12 hours to arrive at WaKeeney, but we made it at last! This is the last of our really long travel days for awhile. Beginning tomorrow we have much shorter jumps between destinations.

Today's highlights:

We are staying at the WaKeeney KOA. After our drive today, it is like an oasis. The boys are excited about the free pancake breakfast served at this KOA, all you can eat, from 7:30-9:00. I think Andra and my mom are excited too since it means no cooking!

Andra drove about 3 hours today, giving me a much-needed break. I am so glad she's unafraid of driving the rig. Thing is, there aren't many female RV drivers... overwhelmingly it seems to be a man-only thing from what we've seen in our travels. So I consider myself very lucky to be married to a woman who can drive a big rig!

Here are some photos from today.
