The journey begins! We left Statesville at 5:30 pm today. All six of us are excited and we are looking forward to a memorable trip.
It rained on the way here. Not a problem, but the campsite is a bit on the messy & muddy side. We are staying at "Taps RV Park" in Asheville NC. It's a small campground with not a lot of space. But this place has WiFi, and that's crucial for Andra to do her online coursework (and for me to update the website!)
The kids are winding down, and so am I. Didn't sleep last night ... I pulled an all-nighter finishing laundry and other chores. Tonight I'll sleep like a rock. I need the rest, for sure, because tomorrow is a long driving day... 506 miles to Benton, IL.
